{life.everyday} First time uncle?
It feels strange to know that in a few months I will be an uncle, a "DAEI" not an "AMOU" :-) This intrigues me to feel strange about the strange feeling of becoming a dad one day. Those of you who are uncles or aunts, did you have similar strange feelings?

GREAT! Azad :)
that's so good
my congratulations to your whole family and to you as a first-time "daei" :)
+ I have to say your writing skills are getting better and better in terms of conveying your thoughts through words :) congratulations on that also :)

Thanks Sky, yeah it is a strange yet wonderful feeling. I feel important too :-) Should I wear a tie from now on?
Omid, this one wasn't in that website you once referred me to. Do you know the author? Or maybe we should get our guts together and maintain a webpage of our own on this issue :-)
Sara, I think you are Sara R., cuz there is another Sara friend of mine here (Sara A.) who posts comments here. From time to time, it gets confusing for me to distinguish which one of you guys are commenting :-) Anways, thanks for your both comments. If I had wings, I would fly above clouds. Now that I don't, I will not fly above the clouds. I will just buy 10 wings to eat with BBQ sauce.

Hellos to Sara A. too :)

Congratulations.....

aakh joooooon!
I'm very excited to know that there is some where that I can express my aunt-ish! feeling and there is someone that appreciate to hear that!
Azad, it's very interesting for me to see that you have a very similar feeling that I used to have during my sister's pregnancy: feeling strange about the strange feeling of becoming mom one day!
Things are a little different for women. I want to admit that I'd never been able to imagine myself with that big liquid bubble that I have to carry every where and even talk to it! It reminded me of the story of "Le petit prince" (shazdeh kochooloo): One day he asked his friend, the pilot, to draw a sheep. The pilot drew it several times but each time the little prince found a fault in it and reject it. Being in hurry to go back to his work, finally the boy decided to draw a box and claim that the sheep is inside this box. This drawing makes the little prince very happy. He could imagine the sheep been placed in that box! He just wonders if a sheep with that size have enough grass to eat, explaining that the place where he lives is quite small!
I tried to imagine my nephew (my little prince:X) in that big liquid bubble and I started to (and got used to) talk with the bubble during those nine months.
I don't have any idea about why and how but the strange feeling of becoming a mom disappeared in me after she gave birth to the baby and it was replaced by a very strong desire for becoming a mom one day.
Now, I just feel strange about the very strange feeling of giving birth to a child! I remember that Laleh was completely shocked at first and at the end of that day she broke to tears of happiness.
I think it could be a great chance to become an aunt or uncle before becoming a mom or dad.
You're going to have a very pleasant experience in a few months. Talk with the baby on the phone; I'm doing the same thing now.
I wish all the best for your little prince or princess, dai Azad:)
p.s. Hellos to Sara.R :) I really enjoy reading your comments here:)

I don't have the "heart" to maintain a webpage of the type you mentioned :) You see, I can't even underestand simple recursive (looping) feelings like this one: "Now, I just feel strange about the very strange feeling of giving birth to a child!" !!
By Anonymous, At 5/25/2005 11:26 AM
Omid, the whole point of such website is to share those "simple" recursive feelings. I wasnt dead serious about the webste of course, but I am sure you have the "heart" to do it, in addition to many new ideas that has not been published elsewhere on the Internet.
By Azad, At 5/25/2005 4:45 PM
chand shookhi-jedi baa agha Omid:
I wonder how you got the recursive sense of the sentence since it's more difficult than understang it. I also wonder how you could understand what PMS is! Because that feeling is more complicated than “feeling strange about a strange feeling”;)

it was me, i forgot to add ".a"
By Anonymous, At 5/25/2005 5:21 PM
I guess I should jump in right now :-)
To sara.a and omid, I am sure when you guys meet in person, you enjoy the company of each other as I enjoy spending time with both of you (among other readers of my blog). I read your comments again and I am sure that there has been a misunderstanding. Now, I am only saying this because I do know both of you well enough. :-)

:))))

well, Omid and Azad, EXCUSE ME for my unfriendly reaction ... it was me ... and now it is me + my control engine ;)
Azad, as far as I remember you were always the peace maker:) you can delete my previous comment:)
By Anonymous, At 5/26/2005 4:52 AM
Hey guys,
OK, thanks for being nice. Well, to answer Sara a.'s original questions, you can understand a feeling only if you have expreinced it for yourself. So, I can't fully get your "strage feelings about the strange fellings of being an aunt" since I have never been an aunt and I will most likly never be! I never said I underestood PMS either. I just know its symptoms :)
Finally, I agree that "not understanding" what another person says is quite fashinable and cool among artzi people. Yet, not speaking clearly is also a problem almost as severe as the first one. Most people [speacially women] speak with no choherence. I have learned to accept it since often they just want to talk and what is being talked about has no rellevance. But, I have not yet learned to like this or do it myself :(
By Anonymous, At 5/26/2005 12:14 PM
well, lets shake hands!
Azad, i prefer you delete the last few comments (Actually these are not comments). we are supposed to comment on a very pleasant subject.

:)))
ha..ha..ha..ha..ha..
first of all hello to all: Azad, Sara.a. and our "masculinist" friend Omid :)
the "badjens" me, ha ha ha ha ;)
Don't we just "enjoy" the atmosphere of Azad's weblog!
Heeeeeeehaaa :)
I...do :)
cheerzzzzz...
p.s. Thanks Sara :) The same here :)

Somebody is feeling very hyper here! What type of coffee do you drink Sara r?
By Anonymous, At 5/26/2005 5:32 PM
sara.a, I prolly won't read the previous comments again, but I won't delete any comments, I am pro anti-sensorship of all forms :-) The subjects will become pleasant naturally and gradually.
sara.r, as much as I like the atmpsphere, I still don't like my weblog's green background. Those in the blogging business, helppppppppp me change it!
omid, sara.r doesn't need coffee to be hyper. She is always like this all the time. You will probably be impressed to know two more facts about her: (1) her area of study, (2) her unique exclamation trademark.
By Azad, At 5/26/2005 9:12 PM
What does Sara r. study? I hope it's not "comparative gender anthropology" or "history of nihilist art" or something like that! ;)
I didn't underestand what you mean by "her unique exclamation trademark".
By Anonymous, At 5/27/2005 10:38 AM
I will let her talk about what she studies (if she wants to of course). But I just tell you that she studied Math during undergrad then she made a bold move.
Her unique exclamation trademark is very difficult for me to put into words. In fact, I had a hard time to fit it into words and I guess I did a terrible job! She is known by that trademark phrase and she is even referred to by that phrase (it's like a nickname). Am I right booji?
By Azad, At 5/27/2005 12:54 PM
Oh! Yeah!
it's like an external display of the funny or pitiful emotions going on inside "hyper" boozhee :)))
kholaase "totally recursive" :)))
what I do or study for life!
mmmmm!
good question!
I'm gonna let you guys and leadies guess!
but "masculinist" Omid's guesses so far are dead wrong..Dead Wrong ;) :)
So, I'll keep this baby-subject rollin' :)
cheerzzz....
By Anonymous, At 5/27/2005 2:03 PM
sorry, was me..
By Anonymous, At 5/27/2005 2:04 PM
As a masculinist I don't have enough mental capacity to guess your field of study. You better say it yourself.
By Anonymous, At 5/27/2005 2:23 PM
Well...
I see all gone for either "holi-holiday" or "khar-khar-khar-khooni" :))))
what I study...?
arz konam khedmat-e shoma:
political science
to our 'masculinist' friend: sorry if late.. I was DEAD busy :) Honest :)

What i don't realize is in fact how you are no longer really a lot more smartly-favored than you may be now. You are so intelligent. You recognize therefore significantly on the subject of this matter, made me in my view imagine it from so many varied angles. Its like men and women don't seem to be fascinated until it's something to do with Woman gaga! Your own stuffs nice. All the time take care of it up!
