{daily.thoughts} Too many (binary)

Blogger requires 100 clicks to publish. Too many.

Flickr requires 11 clicks to login. Too many.

What happened to the one-click-away Internet experience? One is One in all bases.

  • You need to use hexadecimcal mice. Then, each input you give to the computer worths 4 bits which means that you can login to Flickr by about 3 clicks, and etc.

  • Actually.. what you're sayin is almost true.. One is One in all bases other than unary(in some variation). in Unary, (1)_2 = (00)_1. That is one in binary equals 00 in unary. But in some variation, again, one could be one. or could be two or could be 9. Since we only have a single digit to represent the number, it could be any digit.. it could even be a symbol.. My head hurts!!.. you're right!!.. Stupid interenet.. why are they lying to us... this is conspiracy.. they are trying to get us addicted to clicking.. Sons of bitches....

  • solo, 4 in HEX is 4 in DEC, or maybe my heximouse is broken.

sia, your last sentences made my day. I was quite disappointed at your Urination (I mean, talking about Unary and all those CS BS), but then you showed that you have got what it takes to be where you are.

  • The point was that in order to select the right thing using a hexadecimal input, you need log(n) in base 16 times of using your input device, but to do the same with a binary thing (the one that can be clicked or not be clicked) you need log(n) in base 2.
As always, 'n' is the number of things that you must do before completion of the task.
